John Donne- Poem

No man is an island entire of itself; every man
is a piece of the continent, a part of the main;
if a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe
is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as
well as any manner of thy friends or of thine
own were; any man's death diminishes me,
because I am involved in mankind.
And therefore never send to know for whom

the bell tolls; it tolls for thee.

In this poem John Donne is trying to emphasize that each one of us is a part of the greater whole. No one can live alone without any role of society. Everone's life is so connected with others that it is difficult to imagine the flow of life in isolation. If anyone dies, it affects the whole mankind. Imagining a world without a small peice of land called Europe would throw the wholw world in a situation where mankind would not experience the scientific and technological advancements.

In our personal life also each one of our family members and friends help us in making our life complete and meaningful.

AUNG SAN SUU KYI

Aung San Suu Kyi could be considered a hero in many ways. First of all she is a hero because she wanted to help people who really wanted freedom and that's what real heroes do. She has tried to save her country from the military dictatorship who are oppressing the people. In this way she is showing care and concern for the people as have the others like Mahatma Gandhi and Nelson Mandela. She is very strong in terms bravery . When she was released from house arrest she kept on speaking up for the country as she wanted the invaders to get out of the country and she wanted to free the country.

The most important thing that Aung San Suu Kyi values is freedom and justice. She wants freedom for her country and also for the people who live in the country. She wants justice because she only had 18 months of house arrest but many other people had been imprisoned for 50- 100. They will be spending their whole in the prison whereas Aung San Suu Kyi was lucky and got released

I too have seen small acts of oppression in school. I have seen many people say mean things to other people by the locker but I do not take part in the conservations as I think that the they will get bigger and more serious and they will reach to the principal. That doesn't mean that I don't want justice, I do but I can't help it. Sadly I feel I am not as brave as Aung San Suu Kyi. But she has still inspired many people like me and I now I am much more brave than I was yesterday. If none of them could be inspired all of us would leave ut these kind of matters and there will be no justice in the world, but its hard. That is why I think that Aung San Suu Kyi is a hero as she was brave and spoke for the country's justice.

ThEmE NoTeBoOk

Do You Want Change?
Eboo Patel is trying to emphasize that we are all one and we are all made by one god, 'Allah'. He is trying to say that we should never harm each other and we should never sit and watch the bad things that are happening instead we should stand up and take action towards the bad things. In the audio he tells that he didn't do anything when his jewish friend was in trouble but after his mistake he has realized that sitting and watching is wrong and you should always take action.

Fatmire Feka
Feka's life is all about forgiveness. She has gone through many disasters. When she was 11 years old her brother, Sami (17) and her sister Sadete (19) were gone missing in the world war 1. For the last ten years she has been searching for them, at least their bodies. She has had a miserable life and now she has stopped searching for her brothers and sisters. She is planning to forgive the people who killed them but she says "Why forgive the people who do bad". Lately in 2002 she has opened a peace club for kids where she gives peace and forgiveness speeches. In the 'Blokes', Hashim, even if he was angry at his friend he forgave him as he had won the competition.

SACHIN TENDULKAR:

I love cricket!!! I love the voice of the leather ball hitting the wood of the bat. I also love the redness of the ball and smoothness of the wooden bat. I suppose that choosing Sachin Tendulkar  as hero is not surprising for me. I chose him because he is a really famous cricket player to me and many others. Sachin Tendulkar is a hero but not in the world of war but in the world of cricket. Sachin Tendulkar has scored many centuries (100 runs) and also won many awards for being the man of the match and also some times for making the Indian team win by a a lot of runs. Now he has about 15,000 runs in his cricket history. I will tell you a story that proves that Sachin Tendulkar is a real hero--->

Once there was a cricket match between the South African team and the Indian team. In that match South Africa had scored 309 runs in 50 overs and after that all of the players were out. Now it was the Indian team's turn to bat and make the 309 runs target. The Indian team batted and scored only 200 runs in 40 overs. While scoring the runs 2 of the Indian batsmen were out because of carelessness. After that came Sachin Tendulkar. He was outstanding on that day and made India win in the 8 overs!!!!

As you now see that cricket is also a war but you fight in it with swords, guns, knives etc. instead in the noble game of cricket you fight with a cricket bat and a leather ball. In cricket no one dies whereas in wars nearly 100,000 of people die everyday. As theseus was an hero in war Sachin Tendulkar is an hero in cricket!!!

John Marsden- 4 Letter Story

Last week an author named John Marsden came to our school and told us about writing. He told us how many types of books he has written and he also told us how to write stories. He told us about his experience in writing and what had influenced him to write stories. He told us how to write ghost stories and after that he gave us a chalenge to write a story in which words were no longer that 4 words. This is how my story goes ---->

I was sad as my dog, Jack, had left me alone. At the same time I was also mad at the man who had crushed Jack with his big new car. But now I am not so sad as my mum told me that they were going to give me a new pet. But this one will not be a dog, it will be a cat!!!! I like cats and I promise to take care of it and not let it run off to the road as my dog had done who died.

tHe ImpOrTanT 10.................................

The 10 objects are.............

Laptop, Basket Ball, Basket Ball Medals, Soccer Ball, Swimming Suit, Story Books, Sleeping bag, Badminton Racket, Cricket Bat and some money.

1.) Laptop: I would first of all pick my laptop up from my room because it is important to me and we can also communicate with it many ways. The ways of communicating are by sending messages, by mail, by chatting on Facebook, twitter and any other accounts and the last way of chatting is by Skype. We can also look up for words in the dictionary and tell their meanings. We can also play games on the computer for passing your time.

2.) Basketball: I would surely like to have my basketball because it is my favorite sport and I would also like to have it because by playing more and more I can improve my skills and I can also have fun. In the past few months I joined a basket Ball team where we sometimes out to play with other teams. In the matches I have also sometimes won some medals. The last reason for why I would like to bring my basketball is because I learned this sport right in KL and I like it very much too.

3.) Basket Ball Medals: I would like to bring my Basket Ball medals because they are the memory of me playing basket ball. They also represent how good I am at basket ball and how many matches I have played for my team. I like it because some big people put the medal in my neck. I have many medals. I got one of my medals here in Malaysia.

4.) Soccer Ball: I would like to have my soccer Ball with me because it shows that I am still learning soccer. I got this ball on my 7th birthday. My aunt gave this to me. I haven't really played any games of soccer because I am not really good at it, Last time when I was in Thailand I knew soccer and so I played a lot there but after coming here I forgot how to play and I have to start all over again

5.) Swimming Suit: I would also like to have my swimming Suit because I like swimming. I do not really know how to swim but I still go to the pool to have some fun and enjoy. When I was in Thailand before coming to malaysia, I knew how to swim. A boy in Thailand named Hemant taught me how to swim. Hemant was really good at swimming and he had also won some medals in swimming.

6.) Story Books: I would really love to carry some of the Story Books because it's the thing I do when I am bored. You see reading boos is one of my hobby. I have many favorite books. One of the books that I really like is "All Together". I really like this because I got this on a special occasion. My dad gave me this book. I also like it because it has many stories which are really interesting. I also read till know because it reminds me of the occasion.

7.) Sleeping Bag: I would really like to take my sleeping bag with me because it is really helpful. I would also like to carry it because it reminds of Malaysia week. It reminds of Malaysia week beause my dad bought this sleeping for me when I was going to Malaysia Week. The sleeping that I bought is also very comfortable to sleep.

8.)Cricket Bat: One of the things that I would surely like to take is my cricket bat. I would surely like to take my cricket bat because I love playing cricket. Cricket is also my favorite game. Another reason that I would like to bring my cricket is because it reminds me of my 11th birthday. It reminds me of my 11th birthday because on my birthday my dad asked me what gift I wanted. I asked for nothing, but after that I thought that I had no cricket bats left all of them were broken. So I asked my dad for a cool cricket bat.

9.) Badminton: I would really like to take my badminton racket because I like playing badminton very much. It is also one of my favorite hobbies. I like badminton because I just learned badminton in Kl and it is a really cool sport.

10.) Money: I think that everybody would carry some money in their pockets. Money is very important in life. There is nothing that is not worth any money. So you would definitely want to carry some money if you need it urgently.

The Quote

Success is never final, failure is never fatal. It's courage that counts.
John Wooden

I chose this quote because because it shows that success is never final. It also shows that you are not the best at anything, you can always continue to grow in a part of the thing. This quote tells us that we can always be better at something. It also tells that it's courage that counts and not the success that does. People see what courage you have put in into the task rather than what you have achieved.
In this picture this person is really looks like a good basketball player. Even if he is a good basketball player he will still try to improve on one of the skills he has in basketball. This shows that you are not the best at anything and you can improve and get better at anything.

Matt Harding Dancing

I think that Matt harding is an expert in the way of connecting to people. He danced in many of the countries in the world and some of the in some countries danced with him o that they could have fun and get to know Matt more better. If I were somewhere in the places he went I would have surely gone there and danced in one of the parts. I would get know better and I could also have some fun. The whole point of the video is to get to know each other in a better way. I also like Matt harding because he makes everyone laugh and makes everyone get to know each other in a better manner. I like Matt and his dancing video.
