Letter To John Christopher........

Dear, Mr. Christopher
 I have been reading your books about the tripods and I have enjoyed reading it. Although I have only read the first part of the trilogy, I have some questions to ask you. Where did you get the idea of tripods capturing humans? Where did you get the idea of vagrants? What inspired you to write this book? At the end of the trilogy, will Henry, Beanpole and Will get rid of the tripods and make them leave the earth?
 Even if I still have these questions I have enjoyed reading the book. I liked the part when you said that Will   was picked up by the tripod  and was going to be capped. I was a bit shocked while reading this line because then I was started doubting wether Will would be able to reach the White Mountains or not? I have still read only the first part of the trilogy. I look forward to reading the rest of the trilogy!!!!!

FREEDOM!!!!!!

"The bitter thing was all the spirit, all the gallantry, was wasted. For even more than inferiors, they accepted and looked forward to being Capped. It was a part of becoming a knight, or of turning from a girl to lady. Thinking of this, I saw how good things could be meaningless in isolation. What value did courage have, without a free and challenging mind to direct it?" (p. 111)


This paragraph from chapter 6 is the best quote I can explain  to you why freedom is important in life. 
 
In this chapter big and strong knights serve their lives to the tripods to control them. If they would have not given up their life to the tripods they could have used their own brain to invent new things. By serving their lives to the tripods they now can't do anything new and they can not also lead their own life by themselves. The tripods will control them after capping them and force them to do whatever they want.

To be free in life we need freedom. To get freedom we need to fight all the things that are stopping us to do whatver we want. Also in the book Will, Henry and Beanpole are going to be capped but to lead their own very life they are trying to remove all the things that are coming in their journey to the White Mountains.

Hello, again!!I had a good Christmas break in the month of December and January.Let me tell you one event which happened over the Christmas holiday:
One day I woke up early and decided to go to my dad's office. I brushed my teeth and had a quick bath. After brushing and bathing I had breakfast. As nobody was awake yet so I had to make my own breakfast. Then I took my dad's car key and headed down to open it. After opening the car I went back upstairs and kept the key in its place. After that I again headed down and waited in the car to let my dad come down and start the car. After a while my dad came down and sat in the car. He started the car and drove it to his office. Then he parked the car and got off. As he was about to close the car I shouted "Hey, dad do not close the car. I am still in." My dad was really surprised to see me. He asked that how I had reached there. So, I had to tell my dad the whole story. After listening to the whole story, my dad said" now that you have come here you can come in. My dad's office is a relly huge place. After some time my dad asked me if I wanted to play any computer games on the internet. So, I said" Yes." I played computer games for some time and also played basketball.
So this was my story that happened over the Christmas holidays.

Hi there! I am here to tell you about my skills. I skill that I have learned is to play basketball. Whenever I play basketball, people say that I play basketball very very well. I score a lot of time in basketball. I sometimes also hit a swish. Mr.Sheflin and Mr.Woodward taught me this skill as they are my basketball teachers, in after school activity.


I have been playing basketball for the past 5 months, but I have never held a challenge in the past 5 months. I am going to hold a challenge on Tuesday, the 19 Jan. 2010. Let's see what happens. I think we are going to win. What do you think? I think you might be thinking the same as I am? We are going to win.

As you know I already have skill to play basketball, I want to have the skill of painting. I want the skill of painting because all my friends are really good at painting. Sometimes I also get jealous by looking at other people’s paintings. I get jealous of the good painting skills people have. I also want painting skills so that I can become a good painter, when I grow up.

I have been kind nearly too all the people in the 6th grade. I always help them whenever they need help. One example how I have been kind to one person is this: When Aymann was new at school, he asked me to help him as it was his first day in school. So, I helped him all day long to find his P.E. locker, his classes and many more things.

As New Year is here I want to set two goals for the NEW YEAR. One goal is to learn painting and the other goal is to improve on my basketball skills. To learn painting I have to take painting classes, and to improve my basketball I have to play basketball everyday. Normally I do play basketballeveryday.

My fear from dogs

Dogs are my worst enemies. I do not like dogs because I had been bitten by a dog when I was 9 years old. I am going to tell you a story about my fear from dogs:
One day I was playing in a park with my friends. A dog was sitting at the gate. While I was playing with my friends we went near the dog. The dog got up and ran after me. So, I also began to run. After some time I was tired so I stopped. As soon as I stopped the dog leapt forward and bit me. In that condition I ran home and my parents took me to the hospital. When we reached the hospital the doctor gave me three anti-rabies vaccination.
So, that is why I am afraid of DOGS.

My name is Nikhil Gauba. I study in class sixth. I am a boy. In my family i have one sister , my father and my mother. My hobbies are to play cricket and soccer.I am from Delhi, India.The last three books that i have read are Little Monk's Ganesha-Pooja Pandey, Tales From Indian Classics-Rupa Gupta, Folk Tales Of India-Anurag Mehta. The last movie i have seen is Luck. One academic goal i have for this year is that i want to come first in class. One social goal i have for this year is i want to do better in class. My vacation memory is that last vacation i went to India. The five adjectives are good,mannerfull,diciplined,careful and loving.
